We had such a great time at this years Emmy's. I honestly thought everyone looked amazing! I opted for a black beaded gown this year by Haute Hippie which I loved!
I do have to be honest with you when I say it was very hard dress to wear. I used double stick tape to keep it in place but It definitely wasn't very secure! I was very cautious not to have any wardrobe malfunctions but other than that I loved wearing this dress!!
Darin was in John Varvatos who happens to be my favorite designer for men.
I decided to test out my friend Cara Santana's new app called The Glam App for my hair and makeup this year and I was obsessed with these guys! Emily was one of the best makeup artists I have worked with and Timothy knew exactly what to do with my hair! Not only were they amazing at what they do, they were super fun to hang with. I was really happy with the result.
I really wanted to go with a smokey eye and clean lip. Emily made this happen using Lorac pro 2 palette for my eyes and Gloss Volupte by YSL in in #20 Nude Carat. She used Cover Fx primer (my new obsession) and Armani Luminous Silk foundation in 6.5 for my base. To give me a dewey look she added Armani fluid sheer in #10 and the best shimmer/highlight palette EVER by Hourglass. I loved this look so much!!
For my hair, Timothy introduced me to some new amazing products in the Kerastase line. VIP (Volume In Powder) is the BEST volumizing/dry shampoo I have ever used. It builds SO much body!!! It sprays on as liquid and dries to a powder and it also smells amazing!!
Here are some pics from the night!
And here are some of my favorites of the night! Love these girls so much!
What I loved about Chrishell's outfit was that it was playful and went against the grain. She had fun putting it together and you can tell she was having a lot of fun wearing it. The skirt is by Michael Costello and the top she purchased separately at Nordstrom.
Jacqui Mac was a golden goddess! I mean the girl looked like an Emmy. She was wearing this Israeli designer she has brought to my attention called Galia Lahav. Their stuff is GORGEOUS and they design wedding gowns... which is very exciting for me to know :) I loved her hair and makeup as well. Don't even get me started on this girls body...
Ash Brewer looked like a princess! I loved her hair pulled back off her face with this powder blue BCBG dress. She kept everything very clean and simple and I thought she just looked flawless. I loved her dewey/ golden makeup. You can't really see in this photo but in person the makeup along with the color of the dress made her ridiculously gorgeous blue eyes pop like I have never seen before. Loved this whole look!
How hot did Kim Matula look this year? I loved how sexy this 2 piece dress by Cache was but what I really loved was how she took a vampy look and made it classier with her sideswept loose old Hollywood waves.
I thought Linsey looked beautiful in this red gown! Can we just talk about the fact that she is walking on her own, without any help just 2 months after her accident?! The doctors gave her 6 and she did it in 2 and a half! Congrats to Lins on her nomination and speedy recovery! And P.S that Alexander Mcqueen clutch is to die for! I usually am opposed to matching same color with accessories but in this case it totally worked!! Loved it! I also love her shorter, blonder hair. Looks perfect with the whole look!
When does Melissa Ordway ever miss when it comes to fashion? umm never... This dress was everything in it's simplicity. The color was amazing on her and the way she accessorized it and did her hair was perfect. This girl is just so beautiful. I also I really loved Melissa's choice of nail polish with the dress! If you want Melissa's dress, you don't have to break the bank either! Get it here for under $200!
