LEAVE A LIL SPARKLE WHEREVER YOU GO!

As 2016 is coming to an end, I can't help but reflect back on this last year. I have so much to be grateful for. My family, the events and the people( both who are in and out of my life). This was such a big year for me on a personal level. I got to marry my best friend. This past year was definitely a year of cleaning house for me. Meaning, I feel like the people who are supposed to be in my life were there and continue to be there in a big way and the ones who aren't have gone. Getting married is such a big, emotional event.  It truly makes you evaluate who is in your life and why and either your bond grows stronger or the opposite happens. Your priorities change. Two families become one and you become a real partner to someone. To put it bluntly, there's no more time for the bullshit. Especially if you are focusing on a career or even getting ready to have children. One thing I think we all need to remember is that we are constantly growing and changing. There will be people on your journey that are there for the entirety and some that come in to teach you something and then leave. This isn't a bad thing, it is actually a very good thing! One of the biggest lessons I have learned this past year is that you always  have to  be true to yourself. I always knew that on a superficial level but it really had a whole new meaning for me in the last year. You need to surround yourself with people love you and truly support you. Who lift you up and make you better not the opposite. Who genuinely want you to succeed in life and be happy. People who truly love you for who you are and don't try to change you. I realized I had  certain people who weren't that for me, people I thought were friends who really hurt me and let me down and I had to let them go. Nobody is perfect ( I certainly am nowhere near that) and we all have work to do on ourselves but as long as you are a good person putting good things out in the world just continue to  be you. Because nobody can be you better than you! Sometimes, when you set out to do something great, no matter what it is, there will be people that try to dim your light. That throw salt in your game and try to deter you or distract you or possibly try to make you feel inadequate or unable. As you enter this brand new year remember you can be whoever you want to be this year. You can press the reset button. If there is something you don't like, change it. Otherwise keep doing you and allow yourself to shine and don't forget to leave a lil sparkle wherever you go!

What are you grateful for? What are some of your lessons from this past year? Anything you hope to change in 2017?  Goals for this new year? Share them with me in the comments below! Happy New Year babes!
