Travel Diaries: Fairmont Monte Carlo

As you guys know, we just got back from The Monte Carlo Television festival again. Congrats to The Bold and The beautiful on yet another win! The festival is so much fun every year. We go to all these glamorous red carpet events, meet the Prince of Monaco at the Palace and end with a beautiful awards ceremony and dinner.  We also filmed episodes of the Bold and The Beautiful while we were there so it was definitely non stop go go go. It was a blast. But Darin and I wanted to take a couple of days and relax by the pool and in the mediterranean. So once again we stayed at the Fairmont Monte Carlo who graciously hosted us with a beautiful stay. The rooms are great, you almost feel like you are on a yacht.

There is a beautiful breakfast buffet spread every morning with  a big selection to chose from. Including gluten free options which is important for me obviously.Upstairs on the roof,  you have Nikki beach pool which is one of the most fun party pools you will ever go to. We sipped rose, ate chicken satay, danced, swam and enjoyed a fashion show all from the comfort of our day bed. It was relaxing but fun at the same time.

We then headed for a couples massage in the spa which was the BEST massage we have ever had! We got one last year and though we just lucked out with 2 great masseuses but every massage gets better than the next. It was exactly what we needed after been on our feet for 5 days straight in the sun and high heels, (well I was in the heels not Darin)

That night we had a beautiful dinner at Horizon on the rooftop The service was impeccable. WE had a server named Celia who not only was so attentive to us but was so happy and had so much great energy. Everything she did was with enthusiasm which made the whole experience even better.

The food was AMAZING! I had the Sea bass and Darin had the cod. Seriously the food in france is incomparable to anywhere else in the world. As I sit here writing this I am starving and all I want is to be sitting at that restaurant, watching the boats, drinking rose eating my sea bass!

The hotel has a casino attached which  makes it very convenient if you are a gambler and location wise you are right in the center of all the action. Climb a few stairs and you are in the main square with shopping, the main Casino and the famous Hotel De Paris.

If you find yourself in Monaco I highly suggest staying at The fairmont. They have them all over the world and I have never ever been disappointed.
