Travel Diaries: The Majestic Hotel Paris

I feel extremely fortunate that Darin and I have jobs that take us to beautiful places around the world we would probably never otherwise see. As you know we were just in Monaco for the television festival (more coverage on that and Vlog coming soon so stay tuned!) We had a blast and stayed at some beautiful hotels. Paris is a very special place to Darin and I because we got engaged there and prior to that, we took our first trip as a couple together there so we wanted to stop by for a couple of days on our way back.

Stephane Thouron at Hotel Majestic created one of, if not the best travel experience we have ever had. First of all, the hotel itself is a beautiful 5 star boutique hotel tucked a few steps away from the famous Champs Elysees where you will find amazing shopping, food and our favorite place for hot chocolate and macarons La Duree.

The rooms were spectacular. Our suite was huge. For Paris standards or any standard. It was like a little Parisian apartment and I felt like Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly. We had a huge living room, 2 beautiful bathrooms with a separate shower and soaking tub. A huge master suite with a king size bed. Turn down service here wasn’t just your regular turn down service. Everything you could possibly need was provided for you.

Room service breakfast (which you guys know is my favorite thing to do) was perfect. We had egg whites and pastries and enough gluten free bread to make me feel like I wasn’t missing out on too much.

The Gym and spa were gorgeous, clean and there was an indoor pool that made you feel like you were in some sort of underground paradise.

When we arrived the first day, Stephane invited us to have lunch on the Hotel Raphael rooftop. First of all, let’s start with the fact that this is one of the nicest rooftops in all of Paris where you have a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower and are nestled in this beautiful rose garden. Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant lived at this hotel while filming Charade so little fan girl me was absolutely freaking out! So much history here and anyone who knows me knows I am the biggest Audrey Hepburn fan.

The food was incredible. I am allergic to dairy and I still ate the burrata appetizer which I am salivating thinking about as I write this. The cod was perfect and the sorbet was literally the best sorbet we have ever had. I am not exaggerating even a little bit. I chose mint, strawberry and lemon and Darin had mint, apricot and strawberry and I could eat it all day everyday. I think it's safe to say my healthy, clean eating went out the window on this trip but that is what life is all about. Balance.

The service at this hotel was top notch. If you asked for something, you had it within 5 minutes. They did everything to accommodate any needs we had. for example we really needed some laundry done and their usual turnaround was 24 hours but knowing we needed it, had it back to us in less than 12 hours.

All in all, I can tell you guys that if you are heading to Paris in the near future, do yourself a favor and book a room at the Majestic. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful and the food is delicious. You will be so happy you did! Oh and don’t forget to walk across the street to the Raphael so you too, can experience lunch perfect Parisian way.
