DIY ANTI AGING BODY LOTION!

Welcome to Kelly's Kitchen! Sometimes you will find me making fun meals or whipping up a smoothie and others you will find me making beauty products! For this first one, I am showing you how you can customize your own body lotion in under 5 minutes, using ingredients you most likely have lying around your house! I have linked products below as well as a link to my all time favorite essential oils. Why do I swear by Young Living essentail oils? They are therapeutic, 100%pure and guaranteed seed to seal which means there are no added ingredients, it is not diluted and they are, in my opinion, completely medicinal. THEY WORK! Let me know what you guys think of the video!!

EGYPTIAN MAGIC!

EGYPTIAN MAGIC!

It is not very often that I find a product that does everything it says it does. You guys know I am a huge product junky and would never just use one product for everything BUT if I were stranded on a desert island and could only have one beauty item with me (ok and I'd sneak in a toothbrush & paste) it would be this. I literally use it for everything. Keep reading to find out the many ways you can use this all natural miracle balm!

BEST EYE MAKEUP REMOVER EVER??

We all know the incredible things coconut oil does and the million ways we can use it... Ingesting it is great for you (put some in tea if you have a sore throat!) you can put it in your hair and even use it as a moisturizer on your body and face. There are so many things this all natural oil does but I just recently discovered my favorite one of all... eye makeup remover!! Guys this even gets off waterproof mascara and eye liner! My sister in law Cherise won't use anything that isn't natural. She's gorgeous and healthy and has incredible tips on anything all natural and what the body needs. I recently downloaded this app called "Think Dirty" no.. not that kind of dirty (to all my friends disapointment). It's an app that scans your household products, mainly in the bathroom and lets you know how toxic they are. I learned that my eye makeup remover was extremely toxic and that kind of worried me. I do pick my poisons but if I can find something less expensive, all natural AND better?! I've won. I just had to share it with you guys. I also used Egyptian Magic which has other things in it and it works amazing! Plus a jar will last you a really long time!

Steps:

  • Make sure to wash your hands before use.
  • Dip your clean fingers in the jar and rub a small amount on your eyes.
  • Gently message for a few seconds (it's also so moisturizing for the delicate under eye area!)
  • Take a cotton round or swab (wet or dry) and gently wipe away.
  • Wet the cotton round and wipe again.

Try this in place of your regular eye makeup remover and let me know what you think! XOXO

Β

It's that time of year again!! I thought I would re post this in case you guys are looking for a last minute costume idea!

We had Scott Clifton's 30th birthday party thrown by his beautiful wife Nikki last night. We have been so busy that we had no time to get a costume! At the last minute, We decided to be Vivian & Edward from one of my favorite movies, Pretty Woman (and by last minute I mean at 2 pm when the party was at 830) We ran out to get the essentials (wig, hair color, accessories etc) I already had the thigh high boots from when I used to take S Factor classes with Sheila Kelley. Darin obviously had the suit and tie and just needed to accessorize. The accessories were easy to find, the problem was finding the famous outfit Julia Roberts wore in the film. You can order it online, but clearly that wasn't an option. So we made it ourselves!!!

Here is what you need..

VIVIAN:

Thigh High Boots

Wig

Necklaces

Bracelets

A plain white t-shirt

A plain white tank

Red blazer

Spray paint (Blue & Black)

A ring (a giant key ring or shower ring will do)

Scissors * try to use fabric scissors, you will see why!

A sewing kit or safety pins.

EDWARD

Grey or Black suit

Tie

Briefcase

Old 90's cell phone if you can get one

Silver spray in hair color.

HOW TO:

Take the plain white T-shirt outside (we could only find long sleeved so we cut the sleeves off) lay it flat and using the blue spray paint, spray in horizontal lines like this on both sides.

Then take your black paint and do the same.

Once both sides are done, let it dry a few minute. Then take your scissors and cut out the arm pits in half moon shape leaving some material at the top to attach to the ring.

This is why fabric scissors are important!! It was hard to cut straight but when it was on, you couldn't tell.

Do the same with the tank top leaving the bottom longer to wrap.

Sew or pin the pieces around the ring.
